Another tearful goodbye - make that two!

S: Not only did we have to say goodbye to our super fun friend Ellie last week, we also had to say goodbye to the coolest human to ever leave (and return to) Pennsylvania.

First, the canine departure. In typical never-ask-the-dog fashion, Ellie Clark's owners decided to move to Florida, taking the always fun to be around, ever slobbery, ball-obsessed Ellie with them. Why in the world would a black dog want to live in Florida??

D: Well, there is one benefit to moving to Tampa. I've heard there is water everywhere! Maybe she'll get to swim in the ocean EVERY day! That would be super cool.

S: How likely is it that will happen? My concern is that if she produces that much slobber here in the mountains, how much more is she likely to produce down there in the Sunshine State?

D: Well, either way, we will miss her a bunch! Things were never boring with Ellie around!!!

S: Now to the heart-wrenching human departure. Eve, one of our all-time favorite staffers at Sparkys, returned to her hometown today. She'd only been here a little over six months, but everyone had gotten awfully attached to her.

D: It's hard not to. She's just about as sweet as a person can be. And she was always snapping pictures of us. Especially me, because I'm so photogenic.

S: I am way cuter than you, Denver! I'm unique!

D: Well, I'm regal. Distinguished. Heart-stopping.

S: That may be stretching it a tad.

D: If you don't believe me, just check out the scrapbook Eve made for us before she left. Tara's got it on the counter in the office.

S: The love she had for us dogs is obvious.

D: Eve, when you get tired of Pa, catch a plane, and we'll pick you up at the airport!

S: Farewell to Eve and Ellie. May you find happiness in your new homes! And never forget you were loved at Sparky's!
