Puppy Gram!

Sparky: You can say it with candy, flowers, or jewelry.

Denver: But this Valentine's Day, say it with puppy breath.

S: Order your Puppy-Gram TODAY!

D: Sure, a snuggly, adorable puppy tied with a big red bow would get you serious points with the significant other, but if you're not ready for the morning after chewed-up shoe, you can still have a furbaby deliver your Valentine's Day love - no strings attached.

S: For a donation of $45 a cute-as-can-be Brother Wolf rescued puppy will stop by for a visit at your honey's workplace on Friday, February 12th bearing a flower and personalized card, balloon, and sweet treat.

D: Show your sensitive side (women love that!) and help save a life.

S: Go to www.bwar.org to sign up. Deadline Thursday, Feb. 11th.

*Information from Brother Wolf Animal Rescue flyer. Brother Wolf Animal Rescue is an Ashevuille 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to ending euthanasia of healthy, adoptable animals through agressive spay/neuter, education, adoption, and foster care.

Playmate and Snow Days

Sparky: Are you guys ready to hear about our February Playmate of the Month?

Denver: We'd like to congratulate Sophie Arnold, an almost 4 year old Springer Spaniel who wags her little stub like it's nobody's business when she's excited.

S: And when she comes to Sparky's, it's safe to say she's excited.

D: I don't think her butt stays still the entire time she's here!

S: Whether it's fetching tennis balls, chasing her friends in the yard, or taking a dip in the pool, Sophie truly knows how to have a good time!

D: Thanks for all the fun you bring to Sparky's, Sophie!

D: In other news, we'd thought we'd share our shoebox of photos. The photos of our snow days of course!

S: Check out what we do when the weather gets frosty!

Happy Birthday, Signe!

Denver: Signe turns 3 years old today!

Sparky: And to celebrate, her Mom brought us all a cookie cake to share!

D: Nice try, Sparks. We don't get to eat the cookie cake, the employees do.

S & D: Happy Birthday, little miss Signe! And thanks for the cake, Ellen!

January Playmate

Sparky: This month's Playmate Award goes to Sydney Coker, a year old Shepard/Heeler mix who has been coming since he was just a pup.

Denver: Every time Sydney comes to play, he bursts through the front doors with a big grin on his face and is always ready to greet his friends.

S & D: Congratulations, Sydney! You deserve it.

A Year in Review

Sparky: We'd like to take this time to say Happy New Years!

Denver: And we'd also like to thank all of you for your continued support.

S: It certainly has been one heck of a year. Let's recap on some things that have happened!

D: Remember in January when our pad froze over and we all thought it was so hilarious to run and slide around on it?

S: And February brought Charlie, an employee adoption, to us!

D: Then came March, when Hickory was a stray who found her way to Sparky's, and we found her a home.*

S: In April, co-owner Russ was doing a lot of upgrades for us! Here's a funny shot of the lengths he went to do it.

D: Besides the fun of two employee birthdays in May, this was also the month that co-owner Russ's bird, Kinky climbed to the top of some tall foliage and it was a hilarious time trying to get him down. Thankfully, Russ is pretty good at climbing trees!

S: In June we did a lot of "water sports". Tee hee.

D: July brought great usage of the playground equipment.

S: We were still doing "water sports" *ah hem* in August...

D: The gang was feeling a bit more academic in September, and decided to take some time out from playing, to read a loud to one another for a bit. Although, there did seem to be some confusion about who was supposed to be doing the reading.

S: October is really nice because...hey, wait...how'd that great picture of me get in there? *looks around suspiciously*

D: Ha-ha. That was smooth, Sparks. November looks like fun times were had in the play equipment, too.

S: And wrapping up last year with December, was of course, THE SNOWPOCALYPSE!

S & D: Here's to a new and exciting 2010!

S: Also, don't forget to check out our rate changes! Small, but important!

*Disclaimer: Sparky's is not a shelter. We do not have the ability or space to house stray or unwanted animals.

Sparky: Please help us help Brother Wolf Animal Rescue raise food for the animals this
winter. We prefer dry food (Pedigree or Iams, small bites are best!) but we accept any food donations.

Denver: Drop off any food items here from until Saturday, December 12. Thank you so much for helping the animals in need!
