D: What are you whining about, Sparks? I'm the one with all the fur.
S: I have a delicate constitution.
D: Oh please.
S: Most of you know that Asheville's premiere festival, Bele Chere, is this weekend. This is a great street festival with art, food and lots of music. But I got news for you guys. We're not invited.
D: Yup, that's right. No dogs allowed. This goes back to the fact that some dogs owners (I'll rant about that concept some other time) aren't very responsible and take dogs out in public that don't socialize well.
S: Yeah, just today we heard about a dog that went around biting other dogs at the dog park. He should have stayed home. Besides that, it's just too hot for us downtown. Stay home in the air conditioning.
D: Or come hang out with us at Sparky's. We always have quite the party Bele Chere weekend. Who wants to hang out with 365,000 people anyway??
S: You may want to tell your people about the cool Purina Dock Diving Competition, though. Personally, I prefer to safely enter the water by way of a gently sloping shore.
D: I love to swim, and even I'm wary of jumping off something. We can't see into the water to know if it's safe!
S: So, have a great weekend whether chillin' in one of Sparky's doggie pools or on your favorite couch. See you next week!
