September Playmate of the Month

Elly is a one year old Springer Spaniel. Her hobbies include wagging her nub so fast it disappears, bursts of energy paired with speed napping and leisurely dips in the pool. At times, Elly runs so fast, she becomes a blur. Which, obviously, makes her very popular with the other dogs, because she's terrific fun to chase.




Elly: Wow, it's like, so great, to be honored with this award. What? There's no statue, or medal, or anything? What kind of crappy award is this anyway?


D: Well, your picture is up on the wall in the office for the whole month.


S: And it's on the website forever.


D: And your mom did get a cool bumper sticker.


Elly: I guess that's kind of cool. I'm like the pin-up girl for September '08.


D: Exactly. And you can totally tease the other dogs who haven't been playmate yet.


S: That's not very nice, Denver.


D: Oh well, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do...


Elly: Nah, I don't think I'll brag. They're my friends and I think they're super cool whether they've been playmate or not.


S: That's the kind of attitude that earned you this honor in the first place, Elly. We love having you come and play here at Sparky's!


D: Yeah, you're a pretty cool chick.


Elly: Well, gosh guys, now I'm gonna blush. So, I better get back to playing before I embarrass myself! Thanks again, everyone who voted for me.


S: Um, there's not really anyone voting. Tara just kind of decides based on who plays really well.


Elly: Ah, so I earned this award. Well, that's definitely cool. Later!
